The Fighting Comets (2-4) will play Madonna University, who dropped a 77-73 decision to the host Yellow Jackets, in tomorrow’s consolation contest at 5 p.m.

The men's basketball team dropped an 87-83 double overtime decision against non-conference foe Concordia University this evening at the Concordia Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor. Junior Gerald Dozie (Detroit/Southeastern) recorded a double-double with a game-high 26 points and 14 rebounds for the Fighting Comets (2-1).

Senior Ronnie Pearson (Holly) scored 18 points to lead the Fighting Comet men’s basketball team to an 83-74 victory over Heidelberg (Ohio) College this evening in its season opener at the Westminster (Pa.) College Buzz Ridl Classic. The Comets advance to tomorrow evening’s championship game at 8 p.m. against the Westminster.
