Seventy-nine Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2010-11 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honor roll.
Three Olivet College teams have received the 2010-11 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) team GPA award. This award is presented to conference teams who achieve a 3.300 or better grade point average for the entire academic year.
Three Olivet College women’s golfers -- Lauren Campbell (Fenton), Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) and Adrienne Jones (Redford/Thurston ) were named to the 2010-11 NGCA All-American Scholar Team.
Olivet College senior Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) has been named to the 2010-11 NGCA All-Great Lakes Region Team.
The women’s golf team tied for 10th-place at the 2011 NCAA Division III National Championships. The Comets completed their fourth round this morning. With just a few holes left to be played by the leaders, a massive band of lightning and thunderstorms rolled through the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort.
The Olivet College women’s golf team has received one of eight at-large bids to participate in the 2011 NCAA Division III National Championships. An NCAA Committee announced tonight the 19 teams and six individuals that will participate.
The women’s golf team posted a 342 team score and finished in second-place in the third and final playoff round for the MIAA qualifying tournament today at the Blackthorne Golf Course in South Bend, Indiana. Saint Mary’s took first-place with a 315 to move past Olivet and receive the MIAA’s automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division III National Championships.
The women’s golf team took second-place at the MIAA Playoff Round #2 today at the Blackthorne Golf Course. The Comets carded a 331 team score, which was nine strokes behind Saint Mary’s (Ind.). Despite the second-place finish, Olivet remains in first-place in the playoff standings by three strokes, 652-655, over the Belles.
In a field of nationally-ranked teams, the women’s golf team finished in fifth-place (out of 20 schools) at the 2011 Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling at the Ironwood Golf Club in Normal, Ill. Individually, Amber Conrad earned tournament medalist honors with a two-over par 74.
The women’s golf team used its home course to an advantage, winning the first of three MIAA playoff rounds today at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. The school with the lowest cumulative total after the three rounds will receive the league’s automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division III National Championships.
After Saturday’s first round, the women’s golf team was in fifth-place at the DePauw (Ind.) University/Katman Klassic with a 326 team score. The Comets were just one of two schools to shoot a lower score (320) in today’s second round on the Twin Bridges Golf Course, which allowed them to finish in second-place.
The women’s golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule with a 340-351 dual match victory over Piedmont (Ga.) College today at The Orchard Golf & Country Club.
Four women's golfers have earned 2010 All-MIAA honors. Lauren Campbell and Amber Conrad are first-team selections, while Theresa Damico and Abby Wheeler are second-team selections.
The women’s golf team placed second at the 2010 MIAA Championships at the Bedford Valley Country Club. In addition, the Comets were second in the overall league standings.
The women’s golf team finished in second-place at the MIAA Jamboree #4 today at the Lenawee Country Club.
Amber Conrad shot a 79, and the women’s golf team used its home course to an advantage, winning the MIAA Jamboree #3 today at The Medalist Golf Club.
