Women’s golf team slips to 12th-place after second round of Jekyll Island Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team has slipped into 12th-place after the second round of the 2012 Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Oglethorpe (Ga.) University and on the Indian Mound Golf Course.
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Olivet College women's golf team has slipped into 12th-place after the second round of the 2012 Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Oglethorpe (Ga.) University and on the Indian Mound Golf Course.
For today's round, the Comets had a 345 team score, which gives them a two-day total of 679 strokes. Methodist (N.C.) College leads the 21-team field with a 628, followed by Coastal (Ga.) College at 635 and Centre (Ga.) College at 641.
Sophomore Adrienne Jones (Redford/Thurston) leads Olivet with a two-round total of 163 (81-82) strokes. Senior Lauren Campbell (Fenton) and sophomore Theresa Damico (White Lake/Lakeland) both have a 165. Sophomore Ashley Stark (Grass Lake) shot back-to-back 95s for a 190. Freshman Jennifer Myers (Palos Hills, Ill./Stagg) was disqualified from today's round.
