The Olivet College women’s swimming team suffered a 196-58 loss to Alma College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule dual meet today inside the McClure Natatorium in Alma.
ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College women's swimming team suffered a 196-58 loss to Alma College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule dual meet today inside the McClure Natatorium in Alma.
Sophomore Jazmin Johnson (Grand Rapids/Northview) took first-place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.10 seconds. Sophomore Shana Bush (Alma) placed second in the 1,000 freestyle, 11:28.10; and 200 backstroke, 2:23.82. Junior Katie Dobis (Munster, Ind.) was second in three events, 100 backstroke (1:09.81); 100 butterfly (1:08.30); and 200 individual medley (2:37.73). Freshman Kira Gates (Grosse Ile) finished second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:34.47.
Olivet will wrap-up its dual meet schedule next Saturday, Feb. 2, when it swims at Saint Mary's (Ind.) College at 1 p.m.
