Olivet College’s Mayle earns Academic All-District VI honors
Olivet College junior Jenna Mayle (Ionia) has earned 2012 Capital One Academic All-District VI Women’s Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Mayle is a first-team selection, and advances to the Capital One Academic All-America® ballot.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College junior Jenna Mayle (Ionia) has earned 2012 Capital One Academic All-District VI Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Mayle is a first-team selection, and advances to the Capital One Academic All-America® ballot.
Mayle, a defender, was one of two Olivet players to start every game of the 2012 season. From her defense position, she recorded two assists. In addition, Mayle was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 1 after playing every minute of two league contests.
Mayle carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She is a visual arts dual discipline with commercial design and business concentration major.
Mayle also runs track for the Comets, and holds the school record in the 400 meter hurdles and ran a leg of the school record indoor and outdoor 4x400 meter relay.
