Women’s golf team finishes in 13th-place at NCAA DIII Championships
The Olivet College women’s golf team has finished in 13th-place at the 2013 NCAA Division III National Championships on the Baytowne Golf Club and inside the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
DESTIN, Fla. – The Olivet College women's golf team has finished in 13th-place at the 2013 NCAA Division III National Championships on the Baytowne Golf Club and inside the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
In today's final round, the Comets fired a 331 team score to post a final four-round total of 1,337 strokes, which was only one stroke ahead of 14th-place Middlebury (Vt.) College.
Junior Adrienne Plourde led Olivet with an eight-over par 80. She began her round on the back nine, where she went eight-over. On the front nine, she birdied hole #4, bogeyed hole #9 and pared the remaining six holes. Junior Ashley Stark finished with an 82, including two birdies. Junior Theresa Damico was a stroke behind with an 83. Freshman Brooke Kastamo carded an 86. Freshman Casey Lamp had a 90, including a 60-foot birdie putt on hole #14.
Plourde posted a four-round total of 329 strokes. Damico posted a 334 total. Kastamo was next at 344, followed by Stark at 348 and Lamp at 354.
