Women’s golf team wins Hope Spring Invitational by 20 strokes
The Olivet College women’s golf team won the Hope College Spring Invitational today at The Ravines Golf Course in Saugatuck. The Comets carded a 332 team score to beat runner-up Aquinas College by 20 strokes. Hope and Calvin tied for third-place with 356.
SAUGATUCK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's golf team won the Hope College Spring Invitational today at The Ravines Golf Course in Saugatuck. The Comets carded a 332 team score to beat runner-up Aquinas College by 20 strokes. Hope and Calvin tied for third-place with 356.
Senior Lauren Campbell (Fenton) was the tournament medalist with a 78. Sophomore Theresa Damico (White Lake/Lakeland) finished her round in 80 total strokes, while sophomore Adrienne Jones (Redford/Thurston) was two strokes behind with an 82. Freshman Jennifer Myers (Palos Hills, Ill./Stagg) had a 92, while sophomore Ashley Stark (Grass Lake) rounded out Olivet's lineup with a 95.
The Comets return to the links next Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15, at the Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling at the Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Ill.
