OLIVET, Mich. -- Adam Hague has been tabbed interim head men's lacrosse coach at Olivet College, according to an announcement by Athletic Director Heather Bateman.
"I am extremely pleased Adam has stepped into this role for the 2013 season," said Bateman. "I am expecting him to bring some stability to the program during our inaugural season of men's lacrosse at Olivet. Adam has demonstrated a strong commitment to the program."
Prior to joining Olivet's staff, Hague served as the head varsity boys' lacrosse coach at Tecumseh High School during the spring 2012 season. While there, the Indians posted a 9-9 record and advanced to the Michigan High School Athletic Association tournament.
Hague earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Adrian College in 2012. At Adrian, he was a four-year letterwinner on the men's lacrosse team from 2008-11, and served as the team's captain for two seasons. Hague was a two-time All-Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) selection, including first-team honoree in 2011. During his four years at Adrian, the Bulldogs won two MLC championships and advanced to the NCAA Division III National Championships in 2011.
A native of Marietta, Ga., Hague graduated from Pope High School, where he played four years of lacrosse for the Greyhounds.
"I am very excited to be a part of the program at Olivet," said Hague. "There is a lot of talent on the team and it is looking to be a great season in 2013."
