Four Olivet College football players earn second-team All-MIAA honors
Four Olivet College football players, sophomore Ryan Armstrong and freshmen Ryheem Bonivel, Curtis Frenchand Noah Keefer have earned 2012 second-team All-MIAA honors.
OLIVET, Mich. -- Four Olivet College football players, sophomore defensive lineman Ryan Armstrong (Rives Junction/Leslie), freshmen linebackers Ryheem Bonivel (Caledonia/East Kentwood) and Curtis French (Carleton/Airport), and freshman defensive back Noah Keefer (Fayette, Ohio/Archbold) have earned 2012 second-team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honors. All-league honors are based on the player's statistics during the six-game league schedule.
In MIAA play, Armstrong had 18 total tackles, including a team-leading 3.5 quarterback sacks. Bonivel recorded 32 total tackles, including a team-best eight for loss yardage. He also forced three fumbles. French was third on the team with 35 tackles. Keefer topped the team with 48 total tackles.
For the entire 10-game schedule, Keefer had 67 tackles. French was next with 50 tackles, followed by Bonivel (47) and Armstong (29). Bonivel led the team with 11.5 stops for negative yards, while Armstrong had a team-high 5.5 quarterback sacks.
