OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College hosted the Third Annual Breast Cancer Awareness games today on the football field at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Capital City Stealth, out of Lansing, sponsored the games.
Three football games were played. The first game featured the Detroit Deisels versus Battle Creek Blaze. The second was a powder puff game, and the game between the Stealth and Grand Rapids Thunder concluded the day. All proceeds from the event were being donated to the American Cancer Society and its Coaches vs. Cancer campaign.
The teams came from the Great Lakes Football League (Stealth and Diesels), Interstate Football League (Blaze) and Gridiron Developmental Football League (Thunder). Former Olivet College football players Nate Hughes and Andy Storey are team captains for the Blaze, who was victorious in the first game.
