Sixty-five Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2003-04 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic (MIAA) Honor Roll.
Three Olivet College teams have received a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) team GPA award, according to announcement by MIAA Commissioner David Neilson.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s outdoor track/field teams wrapped up their 2004 season today at the 113th Annual Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day hosted by Calvin College in Grand Rapids. The Fighting Comets had seven top-eight finishes, and the Lady Comets recorded three top-eight finishes.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s outdoor track/field teams participated April 23-24 at the Hillsdale College “Gina” Relays. The two-day event featured athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA schools across the Midwest competing.
The Olivet College mens and womens outdoor track/field teams competed this afternoon in a double dual meet at Calvin College. The Lady Comets lost, 140.0-15.0, to Calvin and 138.5-18.5 against Hope College. The Fighting Comets fell 125.0-45.0 and 99.5-50.5 to Calvin and Hope, respectively.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s outdoor track/field teams competed this afternoon in a double dual meet at Alma College. The Fighting Comets lost, 97-64, to Alma and 141-33 against Albion. The Lady Comets fell 142-20 and 135.5-33.5 to Alma and Albion, respectively.
The Olivet College women’s outdoor track and field team opened its 2004 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association schedule this afternoon with a double dual meet at Tri-State (Ind.) University. The Lady Comets defeated Tri-State, 44-40, but fell to Adrian College, 132-29.
The Olivet College outdoor track and field teams opened the 2004 season today by participating in the Dick Small Invitational hosted by Defiance (Ohio) College. The Fighting Comets finished in seventh-place (out of 12) teams, and the Lady Comets were ninth.
A select group of Olivet College track and field members participated in the Mount Union (Ohio) College Indoor Track/Field Invitational last Saturday, February 28.
