Volleyball team falls to Adrian College in four games
The Olivet College volleyball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Adrian College, 30-14, 29-31, 30-20, 30-21, tonight at the Upton Center in Olivet.

The Lady Comet front row attack was led by freshman outside hitter Marie Pierce (Climax-Scotts High School) with 11 kills and a .258 hitting percentage. Freshman right-side hitter Katie Fiero (Jackson High School) had 10 kills, followed by junior outside hitter Katie Schaum (Marshall High School) and freshman middle hitter Alicia Barton (Jackson High School) with nine apiece. Barton topped the team with a .286 hitting percentage and six blocks.
Freshman setter Jessica Petkus (Milford High School) contributed 35 set assists. Freshman libero Meghan Smith (Rochester Adams High School) had 14 digs to lead the defense.
Olivet is next in action on Thursday, Sept. 16, when it hosts Kalamazoo College at 7 p.m.
