Seven personal- and season-best marks for UOlivet men at Jet’s Pizza Invitational

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's indoor track and field team competed at the Saginaw Valley State University Jet's Pizza Invitational. Over the two days, the Comets recorded seven personal bests and an additional seven season bests.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Owen Fremeau was first among NCAA Division III student-athletes in the shot put (48 feet, 2-3/4 inches) and weight throw (56 feet, 2-1/2 inches).
- On the track, sophomore Kyle Redd ran a personal best in the 200-meter dash, the eighth-best time in UOlivet history at 22.95 seconds.
- Sophomore Deegan Bodell finished the 3,000-meter run in a personal-best time of 9:46.16.
- Junior Anthony DeVito had a personal best in the mile at 4:45.94.
- Sophomore Ben Gillesby completed the 800-meter run with a personal best (2:37.91).
- Sophomore Austin Cole posted a personal best in the weight throw. The mark, 42 feet, 10-3/4 inches, ranks 10th in UOlivet history.
- Junior Charles Goldman recorded a personal-best mark in the triple jump, leaping 36 feet, 11-3/4 inches.
- Junior Kameron Newman tallied a personal best and the fourth-best mark in school history in the long jump at 22 feet, 2-1/4 inches.
- On the track, season-best times were turned in by freshman Braeden Jones in the mile run (5:22.49) and sophomore Luke Leighton in the 400-meter run (53.02).
- The 4x400-meter quartet of senior Charles Miller, Redd, Leighton and sophomore Peter Moore clocked-in with a season-best time of 3:37.82.
- Freshman Mason Korn climbed up to fifth all-time in the pole vault with a 12 foot, 8-3/4 inch clearance.
- Three Comets notched season-best marks in the shot put – Cole (44 feet, 8 inches), freshman Dontrell Thomas (40 feet, 7-3/4 inches) and freshman Losanene Dukuly (36 feet, 10-1/4 inches).
