Olivet ninth at MIAA Championship

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's cross country team finished ninth at the 2024 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship. The 6K race was hosted by Calvin University at the Gainey Athletic Complex.

- Top UO Individual: Sarah Grove, 72nd of 149
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The host Knights won the championship with 29 points, followed by Trine (Ind.) University (44) and Kalamazoo College (73).
- The Comets had 254 points, just six more than eighth-place Adrian College.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Sarah Grove posted Olivet's fastest time for the 6K course at 24:51.4.
- The next three Comets all crossed the finish right after each other. Freshman Casidhe Flesher had a time of 25:48.4, followed by sophomore Aubrey Connelly (25:52.7) and senior Lily Connelly (25:53.1). The times were a career best for each of the three.
- Sophomore Aaliyah Cota clocked-in at 28:33.3.
- Junior Jamie Stiver finished in 29:37.9.

- The Comets compete at the 2024 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional on Saturday, November 16, at the Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville, Indiana.
