Women’s cross country team is ninth at MIAA Jamboree
The Olivet College women’s cross country team placed ninth at the 2012 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree. The 6K race was held at Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College.
NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Olivet College women's cross country team placed ninth at the 2012 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree. The 6K race was held at Saint Mary's (Ind.) College.
The Comets scored 295 points, while Calvin was first with 20 points. Senior Crystal Ramon (Marshall) was Olivet's first finisher, as she ran the race in 27:45. Sophomore Lane Duckworth (Bellevue) completed the race in 27:58. Freshman Charlene MacKenzie (Albion) finished in 28:36, and freshman Danielle Marsh (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was next in 29:34.
Olivet will run at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational next Saturday, Sept. 30, in Chicago. The 5K race will start at 11:45 a.m. CT.
