Cross country teams compete at 2009 NCAA Great Lakes Regional
The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams ended their seasons by competing today at the 2009 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship. DePauw University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology co-hosted the meet at the The Lavern Gibson Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Sports Center. MIAA champion Calvin College captured the men’s and women’s team titles.

Junior Jordan Dornan (Bangor) led the Comet men, as he covered the 8K course in 29:59.27. He was followed by freshman Brock Hubbard (Battle Creek/Harper Creek), 30:27.2; sophomore Alex Johnson (Atlantic Mine/Houghton), 32:11.20; junior Serafin Llerena (Bangor), 33:15.27; and freshman Brandon Vaughn (Charlotte/Maple Valley), 35:48.68.
Sophomore Brittany Marshall (Canton, Ga./Woodstock) paced the Olivet women, as she finished the 6K run in 26:54.84. Freshman Autumn Williams (Albion/Marshall) was next at 28:52.30.
