Cross country teams run at Michigan Intercollegiates

The Olivet College cross country teams ran today at the Michigan Intercollegiates Meet this afternoon at Calvin College in Grand Rapids. The meet featured Division I, II and III as well as community college cross country teams in the state of Michigan.

Junior Jordan Dornan (Bangor) paced the Olivet men, covering the 8K course in 28:51. Sophomore Tom Sobleskey (Olivet) completed the race in 32:02, followed by sophomore Alex Johnson (Atlantic Mine/Houghton), 34:27; junior Serafin Llerena (Bangor), 34:57; and freshman Brandon Vaughn (Charlotte/Maple Valley), 35:23.

Sophomore Brittany Marshall (Canton, Ga./Woodstock) was the Comet women's top finisher, as she ran the 5K race in 22:04.6. Freshman Autumn Williams (Albion/Marshall) covered the race in 24:35.7, followed by senior Christine Cameron (Elkhart, Ind./Concord), 26:31.4; and freshman Kayla Green (Mason), 27:14.5.

The Comets will compete at the Manchester (Ind.) College Spartan Invitational next Saturday, Oct. 17.
