Women’s volleyball team opens season with two wins at Beloit “Buc” Classic

BELOIT, Wis. – The Olivet College volleyball team opened its season tonight at the 2019 Beloit (Wis.) College "Buc" Classic, played inside the Flood Arena in Beloit, Wisconsin. The Comets won both matches in three sets against Alverno (Wis.) College and Northland (Wis.) College.

  • Alverno hit at a -.035 percentage.
  • Nielle Newton had 11 of the 23 Inferno kills.
  • Alex McMath dished out 16 set assists.
  • Morgan Lemner collected nine digs.

  • GrollLouiselle and Mullin each tallied 10 kills, helping Olivet record a .317 attack percentage.
  • Notenbaum finished with a triple-double, as she had eight kills, 19 set assists and 17 digs.
  • Mullin also had 17 digs.
  • Sophomore Abigail Pray tallied a match-best 26 set assists.

  • Bailey Wynn registered a team-best 10 kills and 12 digs.
  • Emma Rusch had 22 set assists.

  • The Comets stay in Wisconsin for two matches tomorrow at the "Buc" Classic. Olivet faces the host Buccaneers at 2 p.m. ET and Martin Luther (Minn.) College at approximately 4 p.m. ET.
