The Olivet College volleyball team lost in three sets against to Mary's (Ind.) College this evening inside the Angela Athletic Center in Notre Dame, Indiana. The Belles won by scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-14.
Senior Kim Travis (Shepherd) led the Comet front row attack with eight kills and .192 hitting percentage. Freshman Melanie Merchant (St. Joseph) had seven kills and hit .115. Sophomore Mallory Schug (Climax/Galesburg-Augusta) posted a team-leading 13 digs, followed by Travis with 12. Junior Jenessa Hicks (Union City) recorded 13 set assists.
Olivet will play a pair of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association matches later this week. On Friday, the Comets host Albion College at The Cutler Event Center at 6:30 p.m., and on Saturday, they travel to play Kalamazoo College at 11 a.m.
