Four UOlivet record-breaking performances help Comet women place fourth at MIAA Field Day

ALMA, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's track and field team broke four school records and finished fourth at the 2025 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day, hosted by Alma College and inside Bahlke Field.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet recorded 65 points to post the highest finish in school history at the MIAA Field Day. The Comets previously finished as high as fifth in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
- The first school record broken was the 4x100-meter relay team of seniors Morgan Jeffries, London Eldridge, Emily Norkowski and Lily Connelly clocked-in at 49.66 seconds to place fourth in the race.
- A short time later, Lily Connelly was third and broke the school in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.92 seconds. The previous record was 58.44 seconds.
- Eldridge then won the MIAA title in the 400-meter hurdles and lowered her own school record with a time of 1:03.79.
- Eldridge, Jeffries, Lily Connelly and sophomore Aubrey Connelly ended the meet with a second-place finish and school-record time of 4:02.03 in the 4x400-meter relay.
- In the 100-meter hurdles, Norkowski and Eldridge placed third and fourth, respectively at 15.58 and 15.70 seconds. Eldridge's time was a personal best.
- Jeffries was sixth in the 100-meter dash (12.80) and 200-meter dash (26.09).
- Aubrey Connelly also contributed to the team score with eighth-place finishes in both the 400-meter dash (1:01.67) and javelin throw (93 feet, 4 inches).
- Norkowski added three team points to the total for having the sixth-best mark in the triple jump (34 feet, 5-1/2 inches).
