Jeffries leads UOlivet women at Otterbein Twilight

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Senior Morgan Jeffries had two personal best times to lead The University of Olivet women's outdoor track and field team at the Otterbein (Ohio) University Twilight held Friday, April 18, at Memorial Stadium.
FOR THE COMETS
- Jeffries ran the 100-meter dash in 12.69 seconds and the 200-meter dashes 25.84 seconds. Both times are the second-fastest in UOlivet history.
- Also, in the 200-meter dash, senior Lily Connelly finished in 26.41 seconds, which is fourth all-time.
- Freshman Brooke Jankwietz posted a season-best mark of 37 feet, 9-1/4 inches in the shot put. The performance ranks fourth in UOlivet history.
- Other season-best performances were done by:
- Sophomore Aubrey Connelly in the javelin (88 feet, 11 inches)
- Freshman Ivey'Anna Knox in the 200-meter dash (28.53)
- Freshman Morgan Whitten in the hammer throw (101 feet, 8 inches) and shot put (31 feet, 8-1/2 inches)
UP NEXT
- Sophomore Ellie Baynes and senior Emily Norkowski will compete next Tuesday and Wednesday in the heptathlon as part of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships. The seven events will take place at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids. Action starts at 12 p.m. on Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The rest of the team will compete at the Concordia University-Ann Arbor Alumni Legacy Meet next Saturday, April 26.
