Norkowski wins triple jump at CMU Jack Skoog Open

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Senior Emily Norkowski was the lone event winner for The University of Olivet women's indoor track and field team today at the Central Michigan University / Jack Skoog Open.

FOR THE COMETS

• Norkowski won the triple jump (33 feet, 3-1/4 inches).
• In the shot put, freshman Brooke Jankwietz posted the third-best mark in school history (38 feet, 1-1/4 inches), while freshman Kenzie Gray had the eighth-best mark (34 feet, 5-3/4 inches).
• Freshman Lily Russell was eighth in the weight throw (37 feet, 1/2 inch).
• Freshman Aurali Garcia and sophomore Joey Wilson both cleared 4 feet, 9 inches in the high jump. The mark ties for sixth at Olivet.
• Freshman Kelah Hodge posted the sixth-best mark in school history in the pole vault (7 feet, 10-1/2 inches).
• Freshman Jaelah Sloan had the seventh-best mark at Olivet in the long jump (14 feet, 6 inches), while freshman Adalynn Rumsey recorded the 10th-best (14 feet, 1/2 inch).
• Sophomore Aubrey Connelly finished seventh of 17 runners in the 600-meter run (1:49.44).
• Senior Sarah Grove placed seventh in the 3,000-meter run (11:38.39).
