The Olivet College women's track and field team started its season by competing at an unscored invitational today at Grand Valley State University. The meet featured more than 1,800 student-athletes from schools all across the Midwest.
Junior Heather Nicklaw (Springport) tied for 10th place in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.57 meters (5'1.75"). In a field of 69 runners, junior Sarah Caldwell (Bronson) finished 23rd in the 400-meter dash (1:00.15). Her placement was the highest among NCAA Division III athletes.
Olivet will compete in the Trine (Ind.) University Indoor Invitational next Friday, Feb. 18.
