Women's track and field team loses two MIAA dual meets

The Olivet College women's track/field team lost two Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meets today at Albion College's Elkin-Isaac Track. The Comets fell to the host Britons, 129-49, and Alma College, 137-37.

Freshman Jami Acker (Escanaba) clocked in with a first-place finish in the 200-meter dash (:27.63) and a second-place in the 100-meter dash (:13.32). She also ran the anchor leg of the runner-up 4x100-meter relay. Senior Courtney Ivan (Belleville) won the javelin with a 111'11" throw.

Olivet returns to the track Wednesday, April 18, with a double dual at Hope College's Buys Athletic Field. Calvin College is the third participating team. Action gets started at 2 p.m.
