Indoor track and field teams competed at the Saginaw Valley State University Collegiate Meet
The Olivet College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams competed last night at the Saginaw Valley State University Collegiate Meet. It was an unscored meet for the Comets with over 15 schools competing.

The top finisher for the Lady Comets was freshman Andrea Johnson (Ravenna High School), who was 18th in the shot put (31’8").
The Fighting Comets had two men and a relay finish in the top 10. Junior Bryan Gilreath (East Lansing High School) was eighth in the long jump with a 20’1.75" leap. Freshman Joe Cox (Flint/Carman-Ainsworth High School) finished in ninth in the shot put (45’0"). The 4x800 relay -- senior Steve Szokola (Marysville High School) and freshmen Mauricio Palli (Bloomington, Ill./Glenbard Twp. High School), Dan Kimball (National City High School) and Jeremy Sheperd (Mattawan High School) -- finished in sixth with a time of 8:39.51.
Olivet is now idle until Friday, Feb. 14 when it competes at the Hillsdale College Invitational.
