OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's tennis team was defeated by Hope College, 7-0, in its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opening match at the Tom Kolassa Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Flying Dutch secured the doubles point by winning all three flights. Hope then won each of the six singles flights to post the 7-0 win.
FOR THE COMETS
- The No. 1 doubles team of junior Rylee Lewis and freshman Veronica Neahusan and No. 2 duo of freshman Brianna Bentz and sophomore Amelia Girard both lost by identical 6-1 scores.
- In singles, Neahusan won the most games, losing by a 6-1, 6-2 score at the No. 4 position.
