Women’s soccer team defeats La Roche, 1-0, and wins tournament championship
The Olivet College women’s soccer team defeated La Roche (Pa.) College, 1-0, today to win the championship of the 2007 La Roche College Women’s Soccer Collegiate Cup.

The Olivet College women's soccer team defeated La Roche (Pa.) College, 1-0, today to win the championship of the 2007 La Roche College Women's Soccer Collegiate Cup.
Junior Kellie O'Dowd (Jackson) scored the Comets' goal in the 13th minute. Junior Megan Reardon (Macomb/Chippewa Valley) took a free kick from 20 yards out, and the La Roche keeper could not control the ball. O'Dowd gathered the rebound and knocked the ball into the net.
In goal, freshmen Sarah Westen (Grand Ledge) and Megan Colby (Cedar Springs) combined for the shutout. Weston played the entire first half, while Colby played the entire second half.
Olivet will be back in next weekend with a game Friday against Concordia (Ill.) University at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday against John Carroll (Ohio) University at 1 p.m.
