Women's soccer team shuts out Kalamazoo, 1-0, for third straight shutout win
The Olivet College women’s soccer team won its third straight game by shutout with a 1-0 victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College today in Olivet.

The Olivet College women's soccer team won its third straight game by shutout with a 1-0 victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College today in Olivet.
The Comets' (3-3, 3-1 MIAA) lone goal came in the 72nd minute of play when sophomore Shannah Fisher (Delton-Kellogg) deposited the ball into the front left corner of the goal. Senior Katharine Hetrich registered the assist on the goal.
In the loss, the Hornets (2-3-1, 1-2-0 MIAA) outshot Olivet, 19-13. However, each team recorded 10 shots-on-goal. Junior Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph) collected a team-high three shots with Fisher and junior Kelli McKee (Canton) tallied two apiece. Sophomore Bre Bath-Simonsen (Mason) played the entire game and made 10 saves.
Olivet travels to play Saint Mary's (Ind.) College Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 4 p.m.
