Women's soccer team defeats Adrian, 4-0
The Olivet College women's soccer team defeated Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association foe Adrian College, 4-0. With the win, the Lady Comets snap a 26-game winless streak dating back to Sept. 7, 2002, when they defeated Concordia University, 2-0.

Olivet jumped out to a 3-0 lead at halftime. The first goal was by freshman midfielder Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph High School) off a pass from freshman Shandell Thomas (Rockford High School) at the 1:54 mark. Sophomore Karine Campbell (Ionia High School) notched the second goal just under two minutes later on a double assist from Stickney and sophomore Jenna Rosengren (Rockford High School). Stickney scored her second goal in the seventh minute on a pass from sophomore Sam Dyke (Hudsonville High School).
In the second half, sophomore Angie Eggers (Hastings High School) assisted on a goal by Rosengren in the 84th minute.
In the game, Olivet and Adrian both recorded 17 shots. Rosengren led the Comets with eight. Freshman Dani Jacobs (Suttons Bay High School) played the entire game in goal and made 13 saves.
The Lady Comets are next in action on Tuesday, Oct. 7 when they travel to play Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind. at 5 p.m. EST.
