Women's soccer team ties Clarkson (N.Y.), 2-2
The Olivet College women's soccer team tied Clarkson (N.Y.) University, 2-2, on Sunday afternoon at the North Country Classic in Potsdam, N.Y. For their efforts, sophomore goalkeeper Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) and freshman Kaitlyn Neff (Grandville High School) were named to the all-tournament team.

For their efforts, sophomore goalkeeper Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) and freshman Kaitlyn Neff (Grandville High School) were named to the all-tournament team.
Sophomore Jenna Rosengren (Rockford High School) scored the first goal of the game on a rebound off a corner kick at the 8:05 mark of the first half. The Lady Comets held onto the 1-0 lead at halftime.
Clarkson scored its first goal midway through the second half. Freshman Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph High School) gave Olivet the lead off a pass from Rosengren at the 81:10 mark of the game. The Saints scored the game-tying goal with just over 90 seconds left in the game. Neither team scored in either of the overtime periods.
Ford played the entire game in goal and faced 11 shots while making five saves. Neff was credited with two shots on goal.
Olivet will next play on Friday-Saturday, Sept. 5-6, when it travels to participate in the annual Denison/Ohio Wesleyan Tournament. On Friday evening, the Lady Comets will play Denison on its home field at 5 p.m. On Saturday, they will travel an hour north and play at Ohio Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
