UOlivet finishes 11th at NCAA Division III Region V Tournament

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The University of Olivet wrestling team finished in 11th place at the 2026 NCAA Division III Region V Tournament, hosted by John Carroll (Ohio) University.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets tallied 46 points. University of Wisconsin-Whitewater won the regional title with 163 points.
- Junior Mason Knight placed sixth in the 285-pound bracket. He lost two overtime matches – 2-1 in the semifinals and 4-1 in the consolation bracket semifinals. Knight then fell 3-0 in the fifth-place match.
- Junior Juwan Vines was sixth in the 165-pound bracket. He started his day with a 16-10 decision win and then lost 13-3 in the consolation bracket semifinals and was pinned in the fifth-place match.
- Senior Gideon Loewen finished seventh in the 197-pound bracket. He was pinned in his first match today and then earned a medical forfeit victory in the seventh-place bout.
