Krupp tabbed MIAA Wrestler of the Week
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – The University of Olivet senior Kody Krupp has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Wrestler of the Week. He is earning this honor for a second time this season.
Wrestling at 197 pounds, Krupp began Olivet's home dual match against Albion College with a first-period pin at two minutes and nine seconds over Desmond Harrison. The pin helped the Comets post a 26-19 win over the Britons. Krupp entered the match rank No. 5 in the NWCA Region 5 poll, while Harrison was ranked No. 4. Harrison was also the 2024 All-MIAA selection for the 197-pound weight class.
Krupp currently has a 16-9 record this season. Of his 16 wins, 13 scored bonus points (nine pins, one forfeit, two technical falls and one major decision). Seven of the pins were in the first period.
Olivet (12-6, 3-0 MIAA) travels to Adrian College (9-7, 2-1 MIAA) on Thursday night for its final MIAA dual match of the season.
