The Olivet College wrestling team finished with a 3-1 record at the 2017 Washington & Lee Duals held inside the Warner Center in Lexington, Virginia. The Comets defeated Greensboro (N.C.) College, 32-13; and lost to Coast Guard Academy (Conn.), 17-15, before bouncing back to beat King’s (Pa.) College, 41-6, and Averett (Va.) University, 44-3.
Senior Jared Brickley took first-place in the 125-pound bracket to help the Olivet College wrestling team place fourth of 11 schools at the 37th Annual Ohio Northern University Polar Bear Invitational held today inside the ONU Sports Center in Ada, Ohio.
Led by junior Tyler Grimsley’s first-place performance in the 165-pound bracket, the Olivet College wrestling team opened its season by finishing third at the 2017 Trine (Ind.) University Invitational inside the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center in Angola, Indiana.
