UOlivet finishes ninth at MIAA Spring Finale, LaMothe receives MIAA Sportsmanship Award

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. –The University of Olivet women's golf team concluded the season with a ninth-place finish at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Spring Finale. The 36-hole outing was at The Legacy Golf Club. Following the tournament, it was announced that senior Ella LaMothe received the 2026 MIAA Sportsmanship Award.

- The Comets posted a two-round total of 753 strokes.
- Saint Mary's (Ind.) College won the team title with a 606.
- Amanda Melling from Saint Mary's was the individual medalist with a 145 (72-73).

MIAA SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
- The MIAA Sportsmanship Award is voted on by peers and the league coaches. It is presented annually to one golfer for her exemplary ethical conduct, integrity and unwavering sportsmanship throughout both the season and her collegiate career.
- LaMothe is the fourth UOlivet women's golfer to receive the MIAA Sportsmanship Award. The others were Megan Rimmel in 2009, Lauren Campbell in 2011 and Rayna Honsowitz in 2024.
