UOlivet finishes eighth at Polar Beaver Spring Easter Classic, LaMothe ties for third in player standings

BEAVERDAM, Ohio – Last Friday and Saturday (April 3-4), The University of Olivet women's golf team battled through the wind and rain to finish in eighth place at the Polar Beaver Spring Easter Classic, hosted by Bluffton (Ohio) University and played at the Hidden Creek Golf Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olivet posted a two-round total of 746 (379-367) strokes.
- Ohio Northern University won the team championship with a 646 (321-325).
- Brooke Barnes from Heidelberg (Ohio) University earned medalist honors with a 156 (77-79).
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Ella LaMothe matched her career best 36-hole score with a 160 (79-81). The score tied for third in the player standings.
- Freshman Emma Berg carded a 191 (92-99).
- Senior Sedona Bonter shot 194 (104-90).
- Sophomore Emily Clark had a 201 (104-97).
UP NEXT
- The Comets are scheduled to compete on Friday at the Lourdes (Ohio) University Spring Invitational. The one-day, 18-hole event is at the Legacy Golf Club in Ottawa Lake.
