Olivet College’s Plourde named MIAA Women’s Golfer of the Week
Olivet College senior Adrienne Plourde (Livonia/Redford Thurston) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women’s Golfer of the Week. She is being honored for the second time this season and the third time in her career.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College senior Adrienne Plourde (Livonia/Redford Thurston) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Golfer of the Week. She is being honored for the second time this season and the third time in her career.
Plourde shared medalist honors at the season-ending MIAA Fall Finale Oct. 11-12 at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek. She had rounds of 75 and 77 strokes for a two-round total of 152, which helped her clinch the MIAA's Most Valuable Golfer honors for the 2013 season. Plourde tied an MIAA record for the lowest stroke average in a season at 77.2 per round. Overall, her performance helped Olivet win its third straight MIAA Championship.
