Women’s golf team finishes in second-place at the DePauw (Ind.) Small College Classic
With a 698 team score, the Olivet College women’s golf team finished in second-place at the two-day, 36-hole DePauw University Small College Classic at the Deer Creek Golf Club in Clayton, Ind.

After carding a team score of 358 strokes in Sunday's first round, the Comets carded a team score of 340 strokes today. Olivet was one stroke ahead of Otterbein (Ohio) College and two strokes in front of Rhodes (Tenn.) College. The host Tigers led the 11-team field with a 634.
Leading the way for Olivet was sophomore Jennifer Lambarth (Saline) who had an 170 (87-83) to tie for 12th-place. Freshman Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) was next at 175 (88-87), followed by senior Katie Edick (Charlotte) and freshman Trisha McKim (DeWitt) at 175 (88-87) and 182 (94-88), respectively. Sophomore Amanda Sanders (Concord) completed the Comet lineup with a 188 (97-91).
Olivet will next participate in the 2005 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8, at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.
