Women’s golf team finishes in fourth-place at MIAA Jamboree #3

The Olivet College women's golf team finished in fourth-place today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #3. Adrian College hosted the jamboree at the Lenawee Country Club.

The Comets carded a team score of 361 strokes. The top three teams were Saint Mary's (Ind.) College (348), Tri-State (Ind.) University (349) and Hope College (356). After the three MIAA jamborees, the Comets are 22 strokes behind Saint Mary's and 11 strokes ahead of Hope. The final two rounds of the MIAA schedule will be played Friday and Saturday-Oct. 7-8, at the Bedford Valley Country Club.

Freshman Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) led Olivet with an 84. Freshman Trisha McKim (DeWitt) was next at 87, followed by sophomore Amanda Sanders (Concord) at 92 and junior Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/ Wayland Union) at 98. Junior Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) rounded out the Comets' lineup with a 100.

Olivet will next be in action Sunday-Monday, Oct. 2-3, when it participates in DePauw (Ind.) University Small College Classic at the Deer Creek Golf Club in Clayton, Ind.
