Lady golfers finish in fourth place at MIAA Jamboree #2
The Olivet College women's golf team finished in fourth-place today at the second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association jamboree at the Blackthorn Golf Course in South Bend, Ind.

The Lady Comets carded a team score of 387 strokes to finish a stroke ahead of Alma College. After two league jamborees, Olivet stands in fifth-place and is just two strokes behind Alma for fourth-place.
Leading the way for Olivet was freshman Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School), who finished in a tie for ninth-place overall with a 90. She was followed by freshman Lindsay Struble (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) with a 95 and sophomores Katie Edick (Charlotte High School) and Wendy Mickelwait (Middleville/ Thornapple Kellogg High School) each shot a 101. Freshmen Amanda London (Marshall High School) and Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union High School) rounded out the team with a 104 and 106, respectively.
In addition to a MIAA jamboree next Saturday, Sept. 27, Olivet will participate in two non-league tournaments next week. On Monday, the Comets will travel to play in the Defiance (Ohio) College Tournament at the Kettenring Golf Course, and on Wednesday afternoon, they will compete in the Aquinas College Tournament at the Scott Lake Golf Course in Grand Rapids.
