Women’s golf team places third at Hope Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team opened its spring schedule today with a third-place finish at the Hope College Invitational. The invitational was played at the Wuskowhan Players Club.
The Olivet College women’s golf team opened its spring schedule today with a third-place finish at the Hope College Invitational. The invitational was played at the Wuskowhan Players Club.
The Lady Comets tallied a team score of 364 strokes. Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College won the team title with 343 strokes, followed by Hope College with 346.
Leading the way for Olivet was freshman Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) with an 87. Following Latimer were sophomore Wendy Mickelwait (Middleville/Thornapple Kellogg High School) with a 90, freshman Amanda London (Marshall High School) with a 93 and sophomore Katie Edick (Charlotte High School) with a 93. Freshmen Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) and Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union High School) fired a round of 102 and 103 strokes, respectively.
Olivet will next compete at the Franklin (Ind.) College Invitational on Sunday-Monday, April 18-19, at the Legends of Indiana Golf Course.
