KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team let a halftime lead slip away, as Kalamazoo College rallied to beat the Comets, 55-45, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) game today at the Anderson Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hornets scored the first five points of the game. Olivet responded with seven straight points. Kalamazoo took the lead back with a three-pointer. The Comets made two free throws to regain the lead before the Hornets countered with driving layup to go up 10-9 at the 4:35 mark. Olivet scored the final 10 points of the opening quarter to begin the second quarter with a nine-point cushion, 19-10.
- The Comets extended their lead to 11 points on three occasions in the second period. Kalamazoo closed the margin to eight points, 29-21, at halftime.
- The Hornets opened the third quarter with a 7-0 spurt to trim their deficit down to one point. Olivet maintained the lead for the rest of the quarter, taking a 30-24 advantage at the end.
- To start the final quarter, Kalamazoo drained four consecutive three-pointers for a 46-40 lead. The Comets closed the gap to two points twice before the Hornets ended the game on a on an 8-0 run to win the game by 10 points.
FOR THE COMETS
- Freshman Ava Lord led Olivet with 13 points and four assists.
- Senior Kinsley Hatfield contributed 11 points.
- Freshman Peyton Tennant grabbed a team-best five rebounds.
