Women’s Basketball: Olivet downed by No. 7 Hope, 84-46

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Hope College, 84-46, today at the Cutler Event Center. Hope is ranked No. 7 in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.

• The Flying Dutch led 28-13 at the end of the first quarter, 45-24 at halftime and 69-36 at the finish of the third quarter. Hope outscored Olivet in each of the four quarters.

• Sophomore Kinsley Hatfield scored a team-leading nine points.
• Junior Clara Shoales netted eight points.
• Freshmen Kaylee Bush and Christina Malackanich each had six points.
• Malackanic grabbed a team-leading six rebounds.

• The Comets go on the road next Wednesday, January 24, to play Alma College. Tip-off from Art Smith Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
