FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Olivet College women's basketball team lost 91-76 to Franklin (Ind.) College in a non-conference contest this evening at the Spurlock Center.

- The first eight minutes was back-and-forth, as neither team led by more than two points. After Olivet led 18-17, the Grizzlies went on a 6-0 run to go up 23-18 with 1:29 left in the opening quarter. Franklin maintained the advantage at the end of the quarter, 27-21.
- The Grizzlies opened the second quarter on a 12-3 scoring spurt for a 15-point lead, 39-24, at the 6:55 mark. Over the next two minutes, the Comets chipped away at their deficit and closed the gap to eight points, 41-33. Franklin put the next five points on the scoreboard and its lead stayed at more than 10 points for the rest of the half, including 49-38 at the break.
- At the 8:02 mark of the third quarter, Olivet was able to get its deficit down to eight points, 53-45. The Comets did not get any closer for the remainder of the game.
- Five Olivet players reached double figures in scoring.
- Juniors Brianna Alexander and Julia Decker each scored 15.
- Junior Rachel Swartz was next with 14 points.
- Senior Alicia Bullaro and sophomore Zoee Zatarga finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
- Swartz and Zatarga grabbed six rebounds apiece.
- Alexander dished out five assists.
- Swartz blocked four shots.
- For the game, the Comets were 28-of-44 from the free throw line. The 28 free throws made is a single-game school record. The previous record was 26 against Kalamazoo College on December 6, 2014. The 44 free throw attempts are the second-most for a single game. The record is 45 on December 28, 2013, against Manchester (Ind.) University.
- Bayleigh Torrance topped five Grizzlies with a game-best 19 points.
- Chelbie Anderson added 17 points.
- CiCi Bailey posted a double-double, 14 points and 14 rebounds.
- Destine Cross and Sarah O'Day each contributed 10 points.
- The Comets travel to play Bluffton (Ohio) University next Wednesday, November 17, at 7 p.m.
