Women’s basketball team ends regular season with 79-59 loss at Saint Mary’s
The Olivet College women’s basketball team ended the regular season partition of its schedule with a 79-59 loss tonight at Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College inside the Angela Athletic Facility in Notre Dame, Ind.

The Olivet College women's basketball team ended the regular season partition of its schedule with a 79-59 loss tonight at Saint Mary's (Ind.) College inside the Angela Athletic Facility in Notre Dame, Ind.
Olivet led by as many as nine points on three occasions with the last time being, 20-11, with 7:47 showing on the clock. The Belles responded with a 16-5 run to take their first lead of the game, 26-25, since the 16:05 mark. Saint Mary's settled for a 3-point lead, 30-27, at halftime. The Belles outscored the Comets, 49-32, in the second half to pull away for the win.
Junior Caitlin Thilo (Onondaga/Eaton Rapids) was the only Olivet player in double figures, as she scored 14. Freshman Kati Stickney (Union City) had a career-high nine points. Senior Gabrielle Federau (Okemos) grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
For Saint Mary's, Anna Kammrath posted a double-double, 18 points and 12 rebounds. Jessica Centa also scored 18 points, while Kelley Murphy added 10 points.
The Comets will play a first round game of the 2010 MIAA Tournament next Tuesday, Feb. 23. Pairings for the tournament will be announced at the conclusion of this Saturday's games.
