Yarrell earns 2010 All-MIAA honors

Olivet College sophomore center Olivia Yarrell (Lansing/Sexton) has been named to the 2010 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) second-team in women's basketball. All-conference honors are based on a player's statistics during the 16-game league schedule.

Yarrell averaged 10.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Her rebounding was fifth-best in the league. She also tied for fifth with 15 blocks.

Under the leadership of third-year Head Coach Heather Bateman, the Comets posted a 7-19 overall record and were sixth in the MIAA with a 6-10 record.
