The Olivet College women's basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Siena Heights University, 62-60, today at the SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian.
Olivet led by six points, 26-20, at halftime. The Saints outscored the Comets by eight, 42-34, in the final 20 minutes to earn the come-from-behind victory.
Despite the loss, junior Gabrielle Federau (Okemos) posted a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Seniors Emily Brown (Muskegon/Mona Shores), Lauren Fishwick (Trenton) and Shannon Tennant (Saginaw/Arthur Hill) and sophomore Caitlin Thilo (Onondaga/Eaton Rapids) each scored nine points.
For Siena Heights, Kara Crossett led all scorers with 18 points. Lauren Crockett and Tanic Levit added 16 and 15 points, respectively.
The Comets are back in action Thursday when they host Madonna University at The Cutler Event Center at 7 p.m.
