The Olivet College women’s basketball team began the second half of its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule with an 82-53 loss against Adrian College this afternoon at the Merillat Center in Adrian.

The Olivet College women's basketball team began the second half of its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule with an 82-53 loss against Adrian College this afternoon at the Merillat Center in Adrian.
In defeat, the Comets were led by junior Gabrielle Federau (Okemos), who scored 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor and 5-of-9 free throws. Senior Emily Brown (Muskegon/Mona Shores) joined her in double figures with 13 points.
Adrian was paced by Anita Stamps with a game-high 23 points. Jennifer Perrin added 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Ashley McClarren had 11 rebounds.
The Comets will now be off for a week and return to action Saturday, Jan. 31, when they host Kalamazoo College at 3 p.m.
