The Olivet College women's basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) co-leader Hope College, 73-42, Saturday at the DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland.
Senior Emily Brown (Muskegon/Mona Shores) was the only Olivet player in double figures with 10 points. Junior Gabrielle Federau (Okemos) grabbed a team-leading nine rebounds.
The Flying Dutch had a balanced scoring attack, as 11 different players scored at least one point. Erika Bruinsma scored a team-leading 14 points, followed by Jenny Cowen (11), Philana Greene (10) and Courtney Knox (10). Knox also had a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Comets will return home to face Calvin College Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
