The Olivet College women's basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Saint Mary's (Ind.) College, 86-54, this evening at the Angela Athletic Facility in Notre Dame, Ind.
Senior Lauren Fishwick (Trenton) paced the Comets with 13 points. Senior Emily Brown (Muskegon/Mona Shores) added 12 points. Junior Gabrielle Federau (Okemos) and senior Vallen VanZyll (Lowell) each grabbed seven rebounds.
The Belles had four players reach double figures. Kelley Murphy and Maggie Ronan were sparks off the bench, scoring 14 and 10 points, respectively. Erin Newsom finished with 13 points, while Anna Kammrath also scored 10. Kammrath and Newsom grabbed six rebounds apiece.
The Comets will return to Indiana Saturday to play Trine University. Tip-off from Hershey Hall is set for 1 p.m.
