The Olivet College women’s basketball team used a balanced scoring attack to beat non-conference foe Rochester College, 73-39, this evening at Oakland Christian High School in Auburn Hills.

Freshman Ameina Ross (Lansing/Everett) led the way with 13 points. Junior Emily Brown (Muskegon/Mona Shores) was next with 12 points, followed by senior Jaime Kowalczyk (Wyandotte/Roosevelt) with 11. Senior Amy Brackenwagen (Grand Ledge) and junior Sarah Mangold (Sterling Heights/Bishop Foley) each scored eight points.
Sophomore Gabrielle Federau (Okemos) grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, while junior Shannon Tennant (Saginaw/Arthur Hill) had seven rebounds.
The Comets will resume Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play Saturday when they travel to play Kalamazoo College. Tip-off from the Anderson Athletic Center is 3 p.m.
